Does nuclear energy still have a part to play in the world?

In my opinion, nuclear energy is the key to becoming a more technology reliant world as we move on to the next level. Nuclear energy holds a very dangerous power, it can destroy a whole city in just a few mere minutes. However, if it is handled properly, many things can be done with nuclear energy and to improve our technology to a whole new level. After looking at what nuclear energy has done to the face of the earth, I am beginning to wonder if it really is worth moving on to the next level if this is what it costs. Many people have died due to the mistakes of other people. To err is human. Thus, we should not be over reliant on nuclear energy to move to the next level but instead look for a new way to do it. If we can find another better way to move on to the next level, nuclear energy will not have a part to play in the world anymore. However, if we fail to do so, we will have to rely on nuclear energy to move on to have cutting-edge technology. Another reason we cannot let nuclear energy play a part in the world because nuclear disasters not only happen due to the mistakes of humans, they also happen due to natural disasters, which are inevitable. Thus, even if we be more careful with the nuclear energy, it would certainly cause a fatal disaster in the future. Some countries have also used nuclear energy as a weapon, which may be misused for wrong reasons. /as mentioned earlier, nuclear energy hold a very dangerous power and if it is in the wrong hands, millions of people can perish due to this. Thus, we should not let nuclear energy play a part in society to prevent more people being wiped off the face of the world.
